Does Shopify have a built-in blog search?
Shopify’s native search includes blog articles, but results are mixed with products and pages. There’s no way to show a blog-only search box without an app.
Will the search bar show products in the results?
No. HUE Blog Search is scoped to blog articles only, so customers searching your blog never see unrelated product results.
Do I need to edit my theme code to add it?
No. The search bar is added through the Shopify theme editor as a section or block. Most stores are set up in a few minutes.
Does blog search create new URLs or affect SEO?
No. Search results render on-page without generating new URLs, so there’s no duplicate-content risk. Your blog posts stay indexed and crawlable as normal.
Can I use blog search and blog filtering together?
Yes. Both are included in the same app — a keyword search bar for customers who know what they want, and a tag filter for customers who are browsing.
