Why Shopify Blog Tag Filter?
Shopify’s native site search returns products, pages, and articles all in one list. A customer looking for a specific blog post has to scroll past unrelated products to find it; or give up before they do.
That’s a real loss for stores with content-heavy blogs: recipe libraries, tutorials, look books, project galleries, course content. The blog exists to be found, and a search box that buries it defeats the purpose.

Does Shopify have a built-in way to filter blog posts by tag?
Tags exist in the Shopify admin, but there’s no native storefront option to browse or filter posts by tag. Customers can only scroll through the full post list in chronological order.
Will the filter show products in the results?
No. HUE Blog Filter only ever surfaces blog articles, so customers filtering by tag never see unrelated product results.
Do I need to edit my theme code to add the blog filter?
No. The tag filter is added through the Shopify theme editor as a section or block. Most stores are set up in a few minutes.
Can customers select more than one tag at a time?
Yes. Customers can combine multiple tags to narrow results further, so someone browsing “vegan” and “30-minute” recipes only sees posts that match both.
Does the tag filter create new URLs or affect SEO?
No. Filtering happens on-page without generating new URLs, so there’s no duplicate-content risk. Your blog posts stay indexed and crawlable as normal.
Does it work with multiple blogs on the same store?
Yes. You can add the tag filter to unlimited blogs on the same Shopify store, each configured independently.
